Access iPhone
One of my favourite Gifts on Christmas was of course the new iPhone 3G. I couldn’t wait to try out everything, download every app – doesn’t matter if it was useful or not.
After a while I remembered that our Project Collaboration Tool has as well an Interface for mobiles and iPhone’s.
Yes! I’m talking about activeCollab.
First I should say that I wasn’t that convienced from this tool as I started to work with it. Sometimes I was looking for some better alternatives because I missed something.
But once I came across Leon’s Website where he offered an alternative theme for activecollab, I changed my mind.
ACCESS is a fully reworked theme for activeCollab with many features and improvements. It gives a much better overview, and working now with activeCollab is going smooth. This Duo is unbeatable. Leon achieved aC to a higher level (- thanks to Leon at this point)
I opened up safari, and visited our activeCollab. I then recognized that the mobile interface is still default. So I saw a chance to give something back to leon’s great work and started to customize the default theme to look like a “Mini-Access”.
Ladies & Gentlemen, here is the very first Version of Access for activeCollab for mobiles & iPhone’s!
1. Simple download the latest release and unpack it.
2. Now connect to your server via FTP and upload the files into the root of your activeCollab Installation.
3. Enjoy it!
Please note: This theme is a kind of hack, that means it isn’t upgradeable by activeCollab. With installation of this theme you overwrite the default mobile interface. If upgrading activeCollab to a newer Version you may loose changes, so you need to re-install it.

hey what if I have activeCollab version 1.1.4? Will this work?
Excellent duo indeed! One thing: There's no "Logout" function from the iPhone skin. Is this possible to implement? In looking at the "Menu" button, it doesn't seem to do anything at the higher levels so could it be rearranged to be a "Logout" button?
iPhones get lost, so I'd hate to share my client lists/projects, etc. with the world.

thanks for your words, and sry for late reply.
1) There is a Logout Link – just press ‘Menu’ and the Logout Link will appear down the button. You can even see it on the screenshots here.
2) If you lose your iPhone, you can always login with your details on your PC or notebook, as soon as you do that, it will logout you automatically on the iPhone – thats because activeCollab only allows one user session at a time.
